Students for excellent study conditions in Dresden

Students, graduates, enterprises and citizens contribute voluntarily – by collaborating or funding. The Student Foundation Dresden supports initiatives of students, who improve the quality of their studies und reseach proactively. Being a non-profit foundation, its commitment has a lasting effect.

In 2002 we started collecting donations among fellow students to open our library (the SLUB) on Sundays during the exam period. The 50th "open SLUB-Sunday" took place in July 2007. We introduce students to philanthropic enterprises and the workings of an educational foundation.

What else do we improve? We are running an online source that offers information for students with children. We provided additional seminars with selected chairs. Now we aim to found an own "Student's Endowed Chair" at our university.

We can't offer scholarships yet. That's an open task for further fundraising activities of the Student Foundation Dresden.

Students and alumni of TU Dresden established the Students Foundation Dresden in 2005. It is the first foundation of its kind in Germany. The idea that students create excellent conditions for students, to improve the quality of teachings and that of one’s own study by oneself, deserves support, – in Dresden and elsewhere.
